Pre-Exposure Prophylaxis (PrEP) is used to reduce the risk of getting HIV (human immunodeficiency virus).
PrEP works by stopping HIV from getting into your body and making copies of itself (replicating). You’ll only be protected from HIV infection if there are high enough levels of PrEP in your body, so it’s important to take it correctly.
PrEP can be used by anyone from a community or group that is most at risk of HIV, or people who have sex with people from those networks.

The cervical screening program aims to detect early signs of cervical cancer, which can be effectively treated when caught early. This screening is offered to all individuals who have a cervix, regardless of gender identity.
We understand that discussions around health can be personal and sensitive, particularly regarding gender identity and medical care. If you have a cervix, we want to ensure you are aware of this screening opportunity and invite you to participate, should you feel it is appropriate for you.
As part of a recent change in national policy, you now have the option to opt in and be invited regularly as part of the usual screening service. Your participation in this screening is entirely voluntary, and we respect your autonomy and privacy in making this decision.
Please contact us if you are transgender, non-binary or gender-diverse , we would really value being able to communicate with you regarding this important health screening . You can contact us via the ask the doctor a question, by telephone or by making an appointment https://hannagebrook.co.uk/contact-us/ . We are very happy to communicate in any way that you find most comfortable and will be able to answer any questions and address any concerns you may have. Please be reassured you can communicate with us with confidence that you will be treated with confidentiality, care and respect.Cancer
