Patient Participation Group

The PPG works closely with the medical centre to give patients a voice in its organisation and establishing its priorities. Wirksworth is fortunate in that it has a medical practice committed to making sure its patients are involved in decisions about the range and quality of services on offer. It is important that patients play a part in developing this partnership.

Members of the PPG are not medical professionals and don’t formally represent any group. Members try to represent the views of patients generally.

The PPG is not a forum for complaints.

Our PPG meets throughout the year in different forums such as focus groups or larger meetings to hear updates from the practice.

The PPG has a committee which meets regularly to support the practice with activities such as flu clinic or distribution of newsletters.

National Association for Patient Participation (NAPP)

The NAPP is the national voice for patient participation in primary care. Hannage Brook PPG is a member of NAPP.
